The IT assessment process
The assessment will draw light on how technology is helping or hindering the core activities of the company and will recommend steps to implements for the technology to help achieve the business goals and objectives.
The IT assessment generally consists of 4 stages :
- Defining the scope of the assessment and the identify the actors who will participate in the IT assessment. This is also the planning stage,
- The actual assessment phase, which includes audits and interviews with stakeholders. This is the data collection stage,
- The analysis stage which will highlight the issues and sort them out with tools like SWOT analysis,
- Restitution of the IT assessment to the stakeholders and delivery of the assessment document and recommendations.
